Equity Assistance Centers
The Equity Assistance Centers (EAC) were first established in 1978. There are 10 Regional Equity Assistance Centers funded by the U.S. Department of Education under Title IV of the 1964 Civil Rights Act. They provide assistance to public schools in the areas of race, gender, and national origin to promote equal educational opportunities.
Federally Funded Education Resources
The TA&D Network refers to the Technical Assistance and Dissemination network funded by the U.S. Department of Education, Office of Special Education Programs (OSEP). There are more than 50 information centers set up to offer assistance on special education and disability topics.
Educational Foundations
The Equity Alliance at ASU links to a variety of non-profit educational foundations that provide support and resources for improving schools in the U.S. and worldwide.
Other Organizations Advancing Equity
These organizations include national advocacy projects, civil rights projects, professional organizations, and a variety of other entities who are working toward equity.
