Research Scientist: Arizona Center for Research and Outreach

We are pleased to announce our position for Research Scientist. This position is integral to Arizona’s Extension System-Military Partnership project. The successful candidate will develop a programmatic effort of research and scholarly outreach on issues related to military families (e.g., child care, child development, education, youth development programs, and other issues); provide overall leadership, direction and support for the development of external requests for proposals, compiling, analyzing and developing briefing reports and other documents in conjunction with the National Rapid Response Research team; develop opportunities for collaborative research to enhance our understanding of military families; and work closely with other scholars at the University of Arizona and across the national land-grant system to advance research on issues relevant to military families.
Minimum Qualifications:
* Ph.D. in Human Development, Family Studies, Psychology, Family Sociology, Communication, Women's Studies or other related field. * Strong written and oral communication skills. * Strong analytical skills. * Commitment to advancing the scholarly study of military families.
