Qualifications:

Master's Degree in administration with graduate level coursework in school administration. Minimum of three (3) years experience in administration and/or teaching. The University of Denver's Morgridge College of Education invites applications for a tenure track position in the Curriculum and Instruction program at the rank of Assistant Professor. The facility features state-of-the-art technology including interactive white boards and flat-panel displays throughout, two TelePresence videoconferencing systems, three Tandberg videoconferencing systems and a Voice-over Internet Protocol (VOIP) integrated communications system.

The Equity Project at Indiana University at the Center for Evaluation and Education Policy is seeking a Research Associate to work on two projects, Race and Gender Disparities Research-to-Practice Collaborative, a national collaborative that will bring together researchers, advocates, educators, parents/students and policy-makers in order to develop a research and policy agenda addressing racial/ethnic and gender disproportionality in school discipline and PBIS Indiana, a resource center currently developing, implementing, and assessing a statewide network for the implementation of culturally responsive positive behavior supports in K-12 schools across Indiana.

This is a one-year position with the potential of renewal for a further years contingent upon continued funding and satisfactory job performance. Primary responsibilities include:

• conducting literature reviews and policy papers to guide researchers, educators, concerned community members, policymakers and funders on identifying and addressing gaps in research and practice as related to race and gender disparities in discipline,
• assisting in meeting planning and developing written research reports to the collaborative members,
• supervising graduate assistants in conducting literature reviews,
• coordinating research and evaluation activities to assess the impact of school discipline activities on a range of outcome variables including achievement, graduation rates, and family involvement; and
• writing research reports and developing presentations on project outcomes and recommendations for funders and national audiences.

The successful candidate will have an earned Ph.D. or be ABD in the field of education or psychology. Flexibility, strong organizational skills, experience in educational research including familiarity and skill in conducting research syntheses and statistical analysis, experience working with public school systems, and a commitment to addressing issues of equity are all essential.

The Research Associate position is full-time including full benefits and a beginning annual salary of up to $52,500, depending on qualifications. To apply send the following materials:

This is a full time tenure-track position offered for Fall 2011.

Education:Minimum of 3 years EC-12 classroom teaching experience required. ABDs may also be considered, but earned doctorate preferred. Preferences include university teaching experience, background in behavior and/or assessment, and experience working with bilingual and/or culturally diverse populations.
